This Privacy Policy applies strictly to the PDFFixNow Desktop application distributed via the Microsoft Store and our official website (www.pdffixnow.com).

2. Your files stay on your computer

Your files never leave your device. The App checks PDF files for PDF/A compliance entirely on your computer's local processing hardware.

• We do not upload, copy, transmit, store, or access your PDF files or their contents on external servers or cloud infrastructure.
• The App operates completely offline and does not need an internet connection to validate your PDF files or generate compliance reports.
• Validation reports that you choose to export (such as HTML, XML, or PDF verification logs) are saved strictly to the local directory you specify on your computer.

3. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the App.

• No Accounts: You are not required to create an account, register, or provide your name or email to use the App.
• No Analytics or Tracking: The App contains no tracking SDKs, no behavioral telemetry, no usage analytics, and no fingerprinting mechanisms.

4. Internet connection (update check)

For versions distributed outside of the Microsoft Store, when it starts, the App may contact www.pdffixnow.com over secure HTTPS to check whether a newer version is available.

This is a standard web request, so our server may log basic technical network information such as:

• Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
• The date and time of the request
• The operating system version and the current App version

We use this technical log data solely to operate, monitor, and secure our update server infrastructure. No documents, file names, file paths, contents, or user identifiers are ever transmitted or logged.

Note for Microsoft Store users: In the official Microsoft Store release, automatic application updates are handled directly and securely through the Microsoft Store infrastructure in accordance with the Microsoft Store Terms and Policies.

5. Information stored on your device

The App saves your user preferences locally on your computer to ensure a seamless workflow between sessions:

• Selected PDF/A validation profile (e.g., PDF/A-1b, PDF/A-2b, PDF/A-3b)
• Performance settings (e.g., number of parallel processing threads)
• Last used directory/folder for opening files or saving reports
• Interface display options (e.g., theme and window size)

This configuration data is stored strictly in your operating system's local user profile and is never sent to us or any third party. You can delete these preferences at any time by clearing the application data or uninstalling the App.

6. Third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with any third party.

The App utilizes the industry-standard, open-source veraPDF library as its local PDF/A validation engine. veraPDF executes 100% locally on your computer and does not transmit data over the network or communicate with external servers.

The App is a general-purpose document validation utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children.
